One of the biggest reasons why education for girls is so important, is safe sex. Research shows that women would be 13% more likely to know that condoms can reduce the risk of HIV/AIDS if they had finished primary school. With the proper knowledge, they would understand and be aware of the risks by unsafe sex, and HIV/AIDS would decrease in our developing countries. Decreasing diseases like these would be extremely relevant to help the countries develop.
Educating girls would also lead to later marriage. A high-quality educated girl is more likely to wait with both marriage and children. Having girls occupied with education and learning, would make them more focused on studies and getting a good education, rather than focusing on taking care of their families, before themselves. This would create better functioned families with better incomes, as well as happier members within.
